“We are not like everyone else. We are afraid of the sunshine. We don’t wear revealing clothes and pink ribbons in our hair. We know how to smile with the tears in our eyes and we know how to cry with the smile on our lips. Instead of ice-cream we eat a bunch of various pills. Our best toys are syringes and droppers. We felt all kinds of pain... We know how much our lives cost. We learned to believe in God. And wait for the miracle. We learned tens of prayers and repeat them every night over and over again. We do not want to die. WE want to live on this Earth. Because we are just children - children with cancer”.

The exhibition “We Live On This Earth” dedicated to the Childhood Cancer Day is open. From 12.00 till 19.00 we invite you to the Alexander Prognimak cultural-educational center - Alex Art House (str.Khoriv, 25, subway station “Kontraktova Square”). The exposition will be help till February’21.
At the exhibition “We Live On this Earth” there are displayed the works of volunteers and children with cancer from the Foundation “Crab” (kiev), “Give a Life” (Moscow), “Advita” (st.Petersburg), “Daryna” (Dnepropetrovsk), “Save a Life” (Vladivostok), “Mamaunia” (Vilnius), “Rugute” (Vilnius), the volunteer center at the hospital Motol (Prague). For the first time the exhibition is on not only in Moscow, but also in Kiev. 37 children participate in this event.
According to the data of the National cancer-registry of Ukraine, at least 1000 children fall sick with cancer every year. Undoubtedly these children need money for medicine, equipment, surgeries, and besides all the required medical procedures art stimulates their successful recovery. While fulfilling their artistic potential they manifest their life, stop thinking about their endless procedures and chemo. They learn to rejoice at their life and learn to live again.
